The DNBS also known as Dissolved Oxygen Removal System (DORS) was developed to prevent the formation of incipient electrical failures, minimize the gassing of oil, enhance the service reliability and reduce the maintenance cost of aging power transformers. The system can be fully integrated with all free breathing transformers and increases their life expectancies.

What are the symptoms?

The liquid insulation in new transformers slowly deteriorates because of oxidation decay products. This triggers two negative reactions that contribute to each others' progression. Gases and insoluble decay products work to clog paper insulation pores and hamper heat dissipation that may lead to complete transformer failure.

How Does the DNBS Work?

In short, this technology arrests the oxidation process of oil by eliminating the negative chemical and physical properties of the dissolved oxygen.

Are you tired of disposing spent adsorbents after using them once? Imagine not having to. Insoil's on-line reclamation technology can completely reactivate depleted absorbent tens of times.

What are the symptoms?

The dissolved gases in the oil would normally produce a one-phase system (liquid). Unfortunately, the accumulation of insoluble particles (a side-effect of gassing) produces a two-phase system (liquid and solid). Consequently, colloidal particle adsorption on cellulose fibers irreversibly deteriorates the solid insulation and raises the dissipation factor of windings.

How Does it Work?

The liquid insulation is purified by slowly re-circulating the oil through a custom-designed adsorption tower that attaches to an aging power transformer. When the adsorbent is depleted, the tower is replaced until initial purity levels have been reached. The adsorbent can then be reactivated in a central facility for reuse.
